Confirmed! Daniel Zaitsev and Siim Kesküla Set to Race in Tartu

We are thrilled to announce that two of Estonia’s standout swimmers — Daniel Zaitsev and Siim Kesküla — have officially confirmed their participation at this year’s meet!

Daniel Zaitsev – Sprint Powerhouse Makes His Zirk Swim Cup Debut

Daniel Zaitsev is one of Estonia’s top sprint specialists, known for his speed in both butterfly and freestyle. A regular fixture on the international stage, Zaitsev has competed across multiple Championship meets throughout his career while breaking national records multiple times and achieving fantastic results.

At the 2025 European Short Course Championships, Zaitsev delivered an impressive performance in the 50m butterfly, finishing 5th overall against some of Europe’s fastest athletes — a result that showcases his elite sprinting credentials.

This February will mark Daniel’s first appearance at the Zirk Swim Cup, and fans can expect to see him challenge for top honours in his signature events. His presence adds serious firepower to an already competitive field!

Siim Kesküla – Returning Zirk Swim Cup Champion

Siim Kesküla is no stranger to success at the Zirk Swim Cup. At the inaugural edition, he electrified the home crowd and claimed the crown in highly anticipated 50m freestyle SKINS format, demonstrating both speed and strategic racing under pressure. In addition to his SKINS victory, Siim captured three individual wins and set multiple meet records, solidifying his place as one of the breakout stars of last year’s competition.

After a succesful summer in 2025 when he broke the national junior record in 100m freestyle his return to the Zirk Swim Cup promises even more thrilling performances as he looks to defend his honours and challenge the fastest swimmers from Estonia and beyond.
